Still on holiday mode… =)

My kindhearted boss allowed me to take leave last Thursday and Friday. With that free time, I was able to do some last minute shopping. Was able to buy a surprise gift for hubby. Bought him black leather slippers, something that he really liked.

Friday went out with hubby and little one. We went to buy some things for the noche Buena. I did the cooking. =) I cooked, chili wings, spaghetti, leche flan, buttered veggies, and marinated some chicken and pork belly for BIL to grill. It was a sumptuous feast! (Well at least for us!)

At 10pm, we had our dinner. Can’t wait for 12am any longer. It’s hard to ignore a grumbling stomach. At 11:30, we started our exchange gifts. At 2am, party’s over. =)

Saturday, we had lunch at a friend’s house. Then we went for the 6pm mass at Holy Trinity. After the mass, we had dinner at the no signboard restaurant at Geylang. (name of the place is “No Signboard”) We waited 45min for our food to be served, but it was worth the wait! Their black pepper and chili crab is really yummy! =)

Sunday, after attending our web dev training, we proceeded to Lex Xavier’s first birthday party. We got home at around 9pm.

And now, it’s time for the New Year countdown!

kids... kids... kids...

While cleaning the bottles of my little boy, I was talking with my 6yo sister…she was telling me that good girls go to God's house and bad girls go to the devil's house.

I wanted to scare her, so I asked her, what do you see in a devil's house? I expected her to enumerate things like fire, devil, bad people... etc etc. then I would answer with “ see, so don’t be a bad girl!” But her reply caught me off-guard that I wasn’t able to answer back.

Her reply was…

"mmm...what do I see in a devil's house? I don't know. I've never been there. I've never seen it."

looong weekend

i had a looooong weekend...

friday...

i was on my way to work already when lazy bug hit me!
i was about to reach our gate, when i changed my mind and headed back home again.
i decided to spend some quality time with my little boy...
went to ICA (together with my parents, lit'l sis and my baby boy), renewed my sister's student pass. then to IKEA, bought some stuff for the xmas party.

saturday...
went to learning hub center with my hubby. enrolled for our asp course.
went for last minute shopping at car4.
finished wrapping the gifts at 8pm.
hosted the party at 9pm....party ended at 5am!

sunday...
went nature tripping again!
managed to walk 11km in 4 hours!
was on top of the world for 5minutes! (crossing the tree top trail while it was raining!)

monday...
was on leave.
went for a full body massage with hubby... SUPERB massage!
my boy stood on his own for the first time! wohoooo! another milestone, for mommy to scrap and brag!

nature trip

we had another nature trip yesterday...
it was a loooooonnngggg walk, i tell you! the thing is, we were just half way thru!
we didn't finish the trail. =(

it was very tiring... i was dead tired! but for nature lovers like us, it was fun...

in the middle of the trail, we were met by a big water lizard. its body alone was the size of my legs. (and yes i have big legs!) we also saw chickens, turtles and lots and lots of monkeys! we also saw different kinds of plants... mushrooms included! =)

i don't know if it was a good thing or a bad thing that my little boy slept thru the whole trail.
good thing, cause he stayed in his stroller, saving me from carrying him.
bad thing, he didn't get to see some of the animals.
it's ok i guess, cause we are going back again to this place.

we haven't reach our goal yet and that is to reach and cross the tree top trail.

a christmas gift...

today is a beautiful day... our family has been blessed again...

SIL took the home kit test and it gave a positive sign!

she will be taking another test this evening... just to be 100% sure.
we are all hoping that it would really be a positive one.
we have been waiting for this little one for quite some time now...

what a perfect gift for Christmas... =)
